Words have a lot of power in changing and shaping our lives. If you keep telling yourself you don’t have enough money, even if on impulse or as a joke, then you will have no money further on as well. One way to start breaking this vicious circle is by saying that you do have enough. ‘But wait a second – that doesn’t make any sense!’. I am inviting you today to try this out and then see for yourself whether it makes sense.
Words we use are usually the ones we use in our thoughts. And, our thoughts influence our energy during the day greatly. So, if you want to change energy that is created by your subconscious, you want to start to think differently. This is what we call an ‘abundance mindset’ – it is the way of thinking or a belief system that generates that positive energy, which inevitably attracts more of that positive energy.
I really like to use affirmations, such as ‘I am abundant‘, ‘I am creating everything I want, easily and effortlessly‘, and ‘My world is filled with abundance‘. A lot of these came from the book ‘Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway’ by Susan Jeffers, which I highly recommend.
Also, I love to listen to affirmations on YouTube as I get ready for the day to align myself with my best self. These involve abundance affirmations, such as ‘Prosperity fulfils me‘, ‘Prosperity flows towards me and through me‘, and ‘Prosperity surrounds me‘.
It Is Not Magic
Of course this is not some spell words and they will not magically create a pile of cash in front of you, but it will help to deal with life in a whole new perspective. When you feel overwhelmed with day-to-day struggles and then you also get reminded with your financial constrains, that alone puts you in a state of mind less capable of making best financial and life decisions you can. That is not to say that you’re not trying your best, but comparing to when you’re calm, happy, and focused – that is a complete different story.
Implementing Them Into Your Life
So, as your trusted financial coach, I am telling you to implement some abundance affirmations into your daily life as well. We want to life an uplifting and inspiring life, right? So, have a coffee and say some of the above mentioned affirmations to yourself out loud. If you can’t say out loud – write it out. It will feel weird to be writing out the same thing every day, but trust me your brain will sense the difference and being good to your brain is worth it without a doubt. If you can’t write it out – think about it. This is why I call it affirmations meditation – the point is to have the thought of being and having enough in your subconscious.
Make It Fun!
Lastly, I want to suggest that you don’t just focus on abundance affirmations! Just like exercising only one part of your body not going to help you get fitter overall, focusing just on one area of your life is not really going to change anything. It is a good idea to have an abundance of affirmations to go through and change them regularly. To do that you can listen to different videos on YouTube, or find some audios on Spotify. Or get creative – write out affirmations on q-cards or little pieces of papers and put them in a hat – shake it well – and pick one after another to create a unique mix!
