Have you been thinking about buying something that you want really bad, but keep stopping yourself from this investment because you just don’t have enough money? Or maybe you have been saving more and more money without an end, and just don’t know what to do with it now. Or you have beef feeling that for some reason you can’t do something because you can’t pull it off. These are all examples of a scarcity mindset.
After reading this article, I hope you will realise that you do in fact have enough and you are enough for whatever reason you need it.

When You Trust Yourself
Whenever we say something like ‘Oh, no. I don’t have enough money to be able to invest.’ or ‘I don’t have enough for this holiday, I need it for being able to survive.’, it eventually boils down to ‘I’m not enough’ or ‘I am not worth it.’. I’ve experienced this mistrust myself and can tell you for sure that these can have a horrible effect on your mental health. Mistrusting to your own self can end up with even worse decisions later on, and then it can snowball to a mental illness, and etc.
So no matter what it is, you can have enough simply by believing that you do and trusting yourself to take the leap. Believe that you can repay your loan quickly, believe that you will be able to finance your education, believe that no matter what you do – you where there for yourself, trying to get closer to your ideal life.
Trusting yourself is scary because a lot of the time we don’t have that experience or knowledge yet. This is why a lot of people keep pushing for more and more – because they are afraid of getting out of that grip, letting their control loose for a second. It is the fear of the unknown, the unexpected future. However, our lives have very little control anyway. The only thing we can control is our thoughts, actions, words, and bodies. And, it is in our control to decide whether we have enough or not.
When You Ditch Can’t And Shouldn’t
When you say that you ‘can’t’ or ‘shouldn’t’ do something you give away you power of choice to that issue. And then you can’t choose to have or be enough. But when you believe that you do, the words become more something like ‘I prefer to buy a car instead of financing my next holiday’ or ‘I prefer to get a holiday because I don’t have other financial goals in the near future that would suffer from this’, or even ‘I prefer to get this course with extra financing from my bank.’.
I believe that thinking that you don’t have enough is an ANT – Automatic Negative Thought. This acronym is used in cognitive behavioural therapy. Being aware of your thoughts and actually catching yourself doing that can be a challenge at a times. After all, if you think you don’t have enough, it might be because you’ve used this phrase to stop yourself from unnecessary spending in the past.
When You Notice The Changes
But, when we feel like we do have enough of something in our lives, it might not stay that way for long. In fact it can change in how it looks even from hour to hour or minute to minute. Different people might have different standards for when they have ‘enough’. It is important that no matter what situation you’re in you can see what you have enough of in that moment.
For example, saving a £100 every month can be enough for you but for someone else it can be different. But also you may be thinking that saving £100 this month is a good amount, but in a month when you earn a little more you start to think that it is not enough. Or maybe you see your colleagues or friends spending money everywhere but you think you don’t have enough right now, but then save some money up and spend it to feel like you have enough.
So, before saying that you don’t have enough, maybe you do. Maybe it is worth leaving the decision until later and think about it for a bit. When things come up in my life and I think that it’s not a good time and I don’t have the resources but I am intrigued by this idea that I’m trying to finance, it is best to actually find a way to make it enough. And one of the most powerful ways to always have enough is to believe that you’re enough.
Having ‘enough’ can really look like anything which is why we always have enough. Don’t let you inner chatter stop you from living an exciting and full of action life, even if it comes at risk.
